Manifesto 2016

The South Cambridgeshire District Council Elections are being held on 5th May 2016. The manifesto for the elections has been published and is available to download.

The manifesto contains 5 priorities:
  1. Affordable rented and shared ownership housing for people to live where they want to live
    Everyone has the right to a decent home they can afford and choose where they want to live.
  2. Support for rural businesses
    Rural businesses are a key part to ensuring that communities are truly sustainable.
  3. Making South Cambridgeshire the greenest district in the country
    Preserving South Cambridgeshire’s rural character and minimising carbon emissions.
  4. Making South Cambridgeshire a safe and healthy place to live
    Access to primary health care is our priority.
  5. Ensuring that South Cambridgeshire residents benefit from the Greater Cambridge City Deal
    Reduce congestion and facilitate sustainable travel between peoples’ homes and their work places.
